Welcome! I’m Rachel N. Reyes, a writer, editor, and pun enthusiast from Minneapolis, currently based in Boston.
I have a bachelor of arts in English from Iowa State University, where I was introduced to my lifelong love of comedy via the stand-up comedy course Gavin Jerome’s Comedy College, and was a founding member of Iowa State’s stand-up comedy club. Since then, I’ve also studied satire writing with Second City and improv with ImprovBoston.
My short humor and satire writing has appeared in McSweeney’s, Points in Case, Slackjaw, The Belladonna Comedy, and Little Old Lady Comedy, and my fiction has been published in Ember Journal and Flash Fiction Magazine, among others. You can check out my work here.
Professionally, I work as a production editor for a small book publisher in Minneapolis, managing the creation of adult nonfiction and children’s books. I also do freelance editing work, which you can learn more about here.
When I’m not writing or working, I enjoy reading, making pizza from scratch, and waking up early.
